I repeated I was not prepared to disclose any information about me or my property to someone on the phone I did not know. He was polite and hung up. I did feel it was leading to a scam call

Called my mobile, I have an app that tells me if it's a spam call if the number is not in my contacts. This came up as "Suspected Spam - debt collector" - Not sure if it was, I didn't answer. Searched a couple of these sites and the number is not listed anywhere - very odd
Really annoying silent phone call to my mobile. If someone has misdialed then at least apologise and then hang up, don’t leave it open for 5-8 seconds on a silent call then cut it off. Not even a mobile number which they usually are.
Fraud suspected,claims to be Virgin Media, did not try to verify any personal details or account details. Wants the IP address that they are supplying to me, at which point I ended call. In the past few days, I have had numerous calls from numbers all starting with 118 230... The one I just asked about called on Feb.27th. Some of the calls were from: 118 230 4879 on Feb 22 118 230 2166 do 118 230 1074 do 118 230 8085 on Feb 27 118 230 0029 on Feb 28 118 230 5240 do This seems like nuisance calling to me, and I'm inclined to think it's about a scam of some sort, not simple soliciting for business.

SPAM Total Review - life insurance company. Caller definitely had a "British" accent (though I know there isn't just one - he was definitely a native English speaker though) but really didn't annunciate when he was speaking so I struggled to understand him. He backtracked several times when I called him out on what he was saying. Fraud A scam - and a very convincing one too !! Purport to be transaction investigators for TSB, and for an hour went over and over questioning, checking transactions, cancelling card, and then working very hard to persuade that account needed closing and reopening with a safe sort code and account number, asking about standing orders and Direct debits!!! Thankfully we realised in time and put a stop to it. They had enough information by then to make it dodgy!!!!
