I received an email purporting to be from Ebay telling me that I had bought a £ 1000. television ( which I had not ) and that it would be delivered Mar 16th-17th and quoting this as a contact number. This is an obvious scam !
I had call from this number today 07791 402649 Left a voicemail and you could hear loads of noise in the background then after a few seconds I’m assuming the person were Indian?? But whatever she said seemed like gobbledygook cotodnt make out one word of it. Anyway I’ve blocked the number.

I rang the number back using 141 to hide my number. When the person finally answered it sounded like a work place in the background. it sounded like they were on hands free/speaker and I heard a man say "get off the phone" in a disgruntled voice and then he ended the call. Don't know what they wanted but it's annoying to get calls like this. I've now blocked the number.

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.

Far Eastern accent, and as soon as I asked him to repeat who he said he was calling from, he hung up. I dialled the number with the prefix 141, but it did not ring out. Clearly a SCAM. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!
