SCAM / SPAM Recorded message advising of an Inland Revenue fraud case against you. Total hoax. IR do not work in this way ever.
Fraud. Left a voicemail with a robotic voice claiming to be an officer with the HMRC. Asked for a return call and threatened legal action if you or your solicitor doesn't contact them. Then wished a good day.
I did not answer as the phone number is only 10 digits long and therefore not a legitimate UK phone number. No answerphone was left

Fraud - claim to be from VIRGIN. Spoke to Virgin as on my 7th call this morning. They confirmed it's fraud
It's a home appliance insurance scam. They called my elderly mother and tried to make her think it was her existing insurance company but it's actually a fak-ish looking company called J&L Home Assist. They tried to get my mum to hand over her bank details and persisted even when she said she wasn't comfortable doing that. A bit of investigation reveals that there are a number of similar fake companies doing the same thing, all claiming to be in the Bournemouth area.
