This was a call from a person saying they were from Virgin Media reporting that our internet had been hacked on numerous occasions to cut a long story short I was asked to download the TeamViewer App onto my iPad so they could “put everything right” they were very convincing and I foolishly parted with some money before my switched on son overheard me and hung up the call, I have deleted the app and contacted by bank to report the “Scam” I wanted to forewarn everyone if they receive a call hang up immediate

In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up.
