This is allegedly 02 network from an Indian call centre. When i spoke to them i said let me call my customer services to verify your phone number they hung up. As it happens 02 didn't answer the customer service line so unsure if a scam number posing as 02. It didn't charge me for the call. I have blocked the number.

Sounded suspect to me from an unknown company wanting to talk about my broadband. Took ages to respond when I answered which usually means they are calling multiple numbers and then nebulous about answering why they were calling. Be wary.

A 'heads-up' for yet another scam. Today so far we have had three calls on our land line, apparently from "banking security", an electronic type message as such, saying we have pending a £300 payment to Amazon and a £1100 international funds transfer, press 1 to pay or press 2 to cancel.

An automated vioce usually, claiming various things, in this instance, claiming to be an automated message from my 'bank' regarding a suspicious £300 Amazon charge, it then asks you to press a button option to respond. Don't do it, as I recall, doing so ensures you will get put on a list for more calls, simply because a 'human' responded

2022.07.18 at 13:37 my phone showed ‘International’, with the number 0049 1375 381293, which looks like it came from Germany (0049), but with a local code that was the same as my own ((0)1375)... anyway a recorded message claimed it was from 'bank security', that two large withdrawals had been made on my account, inc one from Amazon, and that I needed to press a particular number to speak to them. This is obviously a SCAM and an ATTEMPTED FRAUD..

Very rude. Very bad. Wouldn’t tell me who was calling. Just wanted me to confirm my name with a yes or no. When I would not say yes or no and just kept asking who was calling, she said well you can piss off! and put the phone down on me. This is a scam pretending to be an Amazon call centre as they had our email and then changed our Amazon account password, that generated an email to us with an OTD code. The scammer then wanted us to give him that code so they could take over the account. DO NOT GIVE THEM THAT CODE AND HANG UP THE CALL AND BLOCK THE NUMBER
