Claiming to be uSave with the promise of saving ?200 on electric and gas. Call was made to a pensioner that only spends around ?500 a year on services.
Scam call - automated call claiming to be BT and going to disconnect me and to press 1.
Most of these calls originate from outside the UK so the rules or laws have no effect.
Supposed to be HMRC demanding money for outstanding tax and threatening court action . Appears to be targeting the elderley

SCAM. Asian male called "Mike" rang saying he was from TPS and asking if I was receiving a lot of nuisance calls. Told him yes, including him, & put the phone down. Really don't think TPS will be auto-ringing from a call centre!

Just had a call for this number - an automated message saying it was from HMRC and my name was linked to fraud. I had to press 1 to be connected to an advisor. Failure to do so would mean I would be arrested.....I'll take that risk.

SCAM Call started with ' A oversees transaction of 600 pounds was made today was this you ' Was then asked to answer yes or no. I stated no I was put through to a foreign call center stating to be from the Halifax. I stopped him and stated I will end the call and call Halifax direct myself. After doing so Halifax stated it was a scam call and to block the number.
