07477 102309 Purporting to be calling from HM Government, reporting that willful fraud has been committed by me and legal proceding were about to begin. £498 was the sum involved. (too little I think) Also the call was made on a public holiday.
SCAM. The number is from an Italian Restaurant in Lowestoft that is currently closed. Dodgy!
SCAM Don’t answer calls from these scumbags. Always 020 in origin-block and report on every earthly forum. The usual crap is then given re pressing 1 or 2 depending on how you want to proceed. Complete load of rubbish. I get regular calls from a variety of numbers all exactly the same. They want shooting! I was targeted for an unusually precise scam 26/05/23 in which a group telephoned me apparently with specific knowledge of my bank organisation, my name and mobile number. The scam started by suggesting there was fraudulent activity on my bank account, and that the account was being temporarily suspended. What surprised me was that they knew who I banked with, and also spoofed the relevant bank telephone number
