Hung up after a few seconds, as couldn t be bothered to listen to yet another heavily-accented drone stumbling through his script at us, down a crackly VoIP line from Mumbai.

When I rang back to see who it was, I got a recorded message saying "you have dialled an incorrect number. Please check the number and redial." Obviously an untraceable number. As I have caller display on my landline, if I get calls from numbers I do not recognise, I do not answer the phone. Sooner or later, these sad individuals will get tried and stop ring
