This is a scam caller pretending to be from a Lyca phone provider offering cheap contracts, the company they are pretending to be are Mobiles.co.uk. They tried offering me a £35 contact for 24 months for a Samsung S23 ultra, which was too good to be true worked out at (£840.00). I explained I did not trust cold callers, so they asked me for an email address. They sent me the email which looked genuine. But it had a different number to the one one the official website. SCAM Claims to be from O2 and sends texts messages during the call requesting that you tell the caller the code that is in the message for a 40% discount. An obvious scam, reported to NCSC and O2 as it looks like they’re trying to scam users into giving O2 account passcodes which is fraud. Kept her talking long enough for her to become quite rude and call me a liar, I’m not even with O2 so not sure why they’d target me, certainly not an O2 employee anyway.

The call was from a VISA fraud checking unit. However the number was the fax number for a garage in Penkridge, Stafford that closed down some time ago. Clearly scammers have cloned the number.
