If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution

Also had calls from 0161 201 0040 ( Jubilee & Wilson Accounts Dept ). Typical pattern: "We called you x-months ago & you agreed to place advertising with us in a crime prevention booklet" & when I denied the call their first line was, "But we have recorded evidence" (great business approach to customer relationships & satisfaction!). I have requested a copy of the recording several times & they agreed to send it, but it never arrived. They have sent invoice; payment reminders; continuous phone calls

CHECKING MY BANK STATEMENT I FOUND A DEBIT OF ?99.99 FROM A FREE TIME CD. I RANG THE BANK WHO WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS FROM A PURCHASE I HAD MADE ABOUT A MONTH EARLIER. AFTER I PUT THE PHONE DOWN AND GOOGLED THE NUMBER I FOUND THIS WEBSITE. I TOO MADE A PURCHASE OF SPACE BAGS AND REMEMBER RECEIVING THE PHONE CALL AND THE HOLIDAY BROCHURE BUT CAN T RECALL ANY MENTION OF A CHARGE IF I DIDN T DECLINE THE OFFER OF THEIR SERVICES....WHAT A SCAM. UPDATE - now verified as the TSB fraud line. All ok.

Called our TPS registered number claiming to be software suppliers and phishing for information. Obviously they don t play by the rules.

First call. I can t find them on companies house. Was a survey about a recent RTA then they can close my claim down. He was adiment it wasn t a nuisance call. I asked him who my insurer was. He couldn t answer funny how he was calling on behalf of them. Terminated the call and is now on my block list.
