SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. Scam caller - claimed to be from Virgin. I kept them on the line for a while then when I told them I was aware they were a scammer they immediately became very abusive. Vulnerable people could be taken in.

A woman claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse asked for my phone company. She refused to answer the question of whether or not the process would cost money, so it's a potential scam. An annoying call for sure, as she kept on asking for my phone company.
When I answered they hung up! So annoying, I assume spammers - I'm on the preference service too, so where do they get details from?
