Automated caller with female voice claiming charges made to VISA account, one of around £700 and another of £900 from earlier in the day. Prompts the caller to press '1' to cancel the charges. Would appear to be a scam and would strongly recommend not pressing 1 and hanging up and blocking the number,

I have been receiving late morning calls from this number on my landline for the last few days. I am ex-directory and do not know anyone in Preston. I suspect that it is probably a robotic marketing call because today I answered but nobody spoke and there was no message.

Insurance - they are insurance brokers. Can't remember their name. I was their customer 2 years ago but then found out from another broker (when I switched life policy) what they promised me will never going to happen, like having life policy till age of 80 etc., so seems they are set on selling only, not advising correctly. They say to be HMRC or something but couldn't understand why they called. Thought to stay on the line, got redirected to a person that only said 'Hello' and 'Yes'. I dropped the call 20s after.

SPAM Caller will ring your phone and then hang up upon hearing your voice but if you try to call the number back it is not recognised and an automated voice will say 'check the number and dial again', even though it just called you, my advice is not to answer and block instantly.
Can only assume nefarious purpose for this number as no voicemail left
