Its not just AO I just received a call from a young woman claiming to be from boots appliances, in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact her sole purpose was to sell insurance cover! She repeated every detail of my delivery, which I already know, told me they can remove my old appliance, which I already know etc etc etc then asked me why my old appliance was broken! Call centre Fraud, purporting to be from Sky regarding my internet connection, this time it was a sweet talking Asian girl who quite obviously hadn't been speaking English for too long, I interrupted her just a few words into her script and politely advised her that her English was not clear enough to be taken for a genuine Sky customer service adviser, where upon she said softly, OK Mr, and needless to say ended up feeling sorry for her.

Missed call from this number which left voicemail, very heavy African accent, female automated voice, sounded a bit garbled. Said someone was "filing a lawsuit against you, press one now to talk to your caseworker" I ve heard of this scam doing the rounds, I ve now blocked this number and registered it with "Should I answer" app as dangerous scam.

Fraud. This number left half a automated message on my answerphone saying 'An unauthorised payment from your card was made 15 minutes ago to a foreign country. To stop all future transaction please press....' At that point the call ended. Clearly a scam and number blocked.

Insurance. Very suspicious. The caller claimed to be calling about renewal of an insurance policy on my washing machine. He sounded convincing until he said he wanted to confirm my bank details. I asked him to tell me what details he had and he said he didn't have that information and wanted me to give them to him. Naturally, I refused to do this and he quickjy terminated the conversation. This is probably an attempted fraud.
