I had enquired about a training course and that is who it is. I called them back and politely told them I was no longer interested, and to remove me from the mailing/calling list. They were quite happy to do so. No issue with them at all.

Got a call from these cowboys claiming to be from BT regarding my internet and IP address. It's worth playing along with them if you've time to waste, then say you'll contact BT directly and they just disappear!
Scam call. Claims to be from Vodafone, saying I was "specially selected". Number came up as XT - and showed as +8000496250 Sounded like an automated caller that tries to sound human.
Call from a telephone blocking service. He asked if I received nuisance calls. I said yes plenty but he didn t understand the irony and pressed on with his script. I asked where he was based. He said 70 Margaret Street London which is the HQ of the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) (Note that the caller was NOT from the TPS). I asked him the name of the nearest underground station at which point he terminated the call.

Seems to be some robocaller from call centre, they are just testing if the line is answering - don't answer it, it could be a few rounds of calls from this number, but when you answer, they just end the call and mark your number as alive and then prepare for real marketing calls :) ...

He then refused to give me their contact details, saying he needed to give me the saving first, and would give me their details if I was interested; I told him I wouldn t know if I was interested until I knew to whom I was talking, when he said that if I didn t trust him (too right!) that was alright - and hung up. Dialled the number and it isn t recognised.
