SPAM answered waiting for minute before they actually speak. asking for someone called mr/mrs thomas, and wanting to ask questions about household!? I asked if they were aware of the telephone preference service (which my number has been registered for over two months ago), no answer. when asked who they are, they said just a company called 'preferential', but when asked for company number and more details they said their goodbye and hung up on me. have a glut of similar spam numbers so clearly all same
Totally agree with NMS. I've got a BT8500 truecall cordless phone (£40 on Amazon for a twin) it NEVER rings unless it's from callers which I have allowed through. Never really been a fan of BT stuff but these phones are great.

SCAM. Person with very strong asian/indian accent claimed to be from BT Openreach saying I had problem with internet speed. Kept him talking for several minutes then told him he was a scammer. He tried to convince me that he wasn't. Then I hung up.
