called 3 times within 13 minutes and again 1 hour later. no one on the other end when i answered.

Call center -operative claimed to be from Virgin Media Technical Services; said he needed me o take my (landline phone) into the room with the computer, then turn it on, so he could do something to my router, to "give me the speed [I] was paying for". I've had at least four calls from these guys (with heavy Asian accents, to the point of not being able to be understood); it is the same script, but the calls have come from a number of different phone numbers in the West Midlands. Tried to bombard me about investment products saying they are GE Markets but gave them my peace of mind till cutting the line, they do not even panic if exposed.
Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.

SCAM - claimed to be from Virgin Media and they my IP address was being used for fraudulent activity and could I conform how many devices were connected. When I asked them to confirm my account number to verify they were indeed from Virgin they put the phone down.

I usually don t answer numbers I don t know (as I get a lot), but I felt like answering this time. A bloke with a northern accent asked for Mr Chin . I told him I don t know that name (as it s not my name and I know no one of that name.) The man on the phone then asked: "Are you hiding him?"
