Scammer - claiming to be from BT internet. Was requesting that I give remote access to my laptop by running some remote viewer program. My internet connection is not supplied by BT so I strung them along as long as possible leaving them hanging on whilst I did other jobs - if they are wasting time with me they are having less time to scam others.

Phone rings, you answer. Puase. No-one there, until eventually a real woman says "Hi, I n Chantelle Brown of [garbled] and I ve been informed you ve been involved in a road accident that wasn t your fault." at which point you put the phone down. Clearly an illegal automated dialling system, passing any calls that are answered on to one of their human operators who then reads from a script. Get a nicer job, "Chantelle".

SCAM - computer voice left VM on 10-2-21 at 12:48 saying they are calling from HMRC and I needed to press no 1 to rectify an issue with tax fraud.
I was kept updated along the way, very pleased with my outcome, the award paid for a luxury family holiday and more! Thank you Action Direct, I can definitely recommend.
These guys keep calling us and if you question them then they hang up. I called back straight away and managed to speak to someone who apologised but think they sound very dodgy

Called and when I answered it was an automatic call claiming to be HMRC and if I didn't press 1 the police would be out soon to arrest me!!! Do not answer this call
Automated voice telling me an arrest warrant was out against me for tax evasion and to press 1 to stop further action.
Pathetic attempt to get a ?99 Ukash voucher by claiming the government wanted an admin fee for refunding credit card over payments! As if the UK government would insist on that form of payment. Persistent blighters though.

Asian accented male called "George" who wanted to know which handset and mobile provider I was using. I asked if he would like to stop wasting time and just ask for my credit card details. He hung up.
