I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Scam caller - claimed to be from Virgin. I kept them on the line for a while then when I told them I was aware they were a scammer they immediately became very abusive. Vulnerable people could be taken in.

Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.

SCAM claims to be hmrc wanting to put you in jail and take your passport
Says they were BT but due to a heavy Indian accent I couldn't understand what he was saying. Have had people claiming to be BT contacting me before claiming there was an issue with my computer, why BT would contact me about my computer which has nothing to do with them caused alarm bells to ring. Not sure if this was one of these calls but be wary if answer, don't let them have control of your computer for whatever reason they give.
