Disgusting customer service! I have a 2012 vw up and I ve just been insulted with the offer of 500 pounds! SCAM. Claimed to be from E:ON (our energy supplier) and saying they have conflicting info for postal code and electricity meter number. Ended the call...had similar before and they are just after you pulling out your bills for them to presumably scam you.

15/01/21 Received automated call using american accent claiming to be from Revenue and Customs. I do not believe however that this was legitimate revenue and customs because they would have sent a letter detailing any taxes that were due in order to release any packages i had imported. Also the call would not have had the threatening tone that it developed at the end where it advised me to ready my legal team for further action, had I not returned the call. i have blocked the number
This number is ao.com. They ring it when you ve placed an order in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact, their sole purpose is to sell you their costly insurance cover for the items you ve bought. No new information re delivery details is provided, they just repeat your order details. These are unsolicited scripted insurance sales calls and as such a form of harassment. They don t leave a message when they ring so that you ring back and incur the cost of the call. Very shoddy behaviour.
