Caller saying they are Solicitors and they’ve got the record of the recent claim. Probably found the telephone number from the advert I am selling my car privately at the moment, so had the details of the make and model correct.

SCAM Claimed to be HM Customs Very Indian sounding accent Asked who i was and when I said you called me immediately threatened to."escalate my case to the police.
SCAM call, gave the phone number and claimed that legal action would be take if i did not call back and give them further ID.

At 8.20am I answered my land line thinking it must be important and was a local number. It was a automated message saying ‘thank you for your payment of £299 for anti virus, if any problems please call our free phone number’ The number I’m afraid I didn’t get and it didn’t say any company either. I’m sure this is a scam of some sort that they catch you when you call to complain so very much aimed at the trusting, naive or elderly.
