Called today while we were out. If it is from Severn Trent Water, our pressure was low this morning so could be to do with that.

So annoying was in the middle of doing something when phone rang, rushed to answer it it might have known nobody was there - no sound at all.

Silent call. I answered and no one spoke. They ended the call after 20 seconds

They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable. SMS sent from +447742135787: "DPD: Sorry we missed you. To book your delivery for another day please visit, https://dpd.missed5q4k.com/delivery". Clearly a scam since the web address is not related to pdp.com and I am not expecting any pdp deliveries.

A scam, claiming to be HMRC, threatening legal action

Chap claiming to be "Jim from Unique Preferences" (with a thick Indian accent) wanted to ask me "a few simple yes or no questions". He insisted he was not trying to sell me anything. The purpose of the call was "marketing". He said his company s partners would be able to make me offers which could save me money. So glad I ve just looked on hear, did get them to check and they said yes due for refund, lucky I guess for me I didn t have the funds to pay the £400 fee, but did receive lots of calls and also a solicitors letter, all ignored and haven t heard from them since, thanks to everyone s comments think I ve saved some money
