Telephone call from 0118 230 2140 at 11:00 on 13 May, 2023. Telephone caller hung up immediately when call answered. Might be a fraud. Suggest block the number.Fraud SPAM SCAM SPAM

Some person claiming to be from o2 offering me a 40% discount on my monthly phone bill.......due to covid 19!!!! I played along for a couple of minutes & they sent text message codes which someone could genuinely assume was from o2 as they had security warnings advising not to give the code out etc but when I said I was going to run her through some security questions & asked her the 1st line of my address they hung up. Called from this number 08.31 today - caller claimed to be from my bank and that there had been suspicious payments on my bank card. This was followed by the usual requests that I press numbers to confirm or reject these payments, I did neither just hung up and checked my bank information.

I asked her to slow down as I could not hear her properly - she went on talking very quickly and when I said "Stop and tell me what you are talking about" She then seemed to bang the phone down.

Recorded message from Bank Security (didn't specify which bank). 2 suspicious transactions, first for £700something by International transfer.... Gave up at this point and hung up as it's one of many we've had all very similar wording.

No idea.. Called back and straight to music voicemail... So probably a scam

Fraud called telling me that somebody in the USA has just spent £600 on my debit card and to stop payment they needed my sort number for my account when I said I will contact my bank myself they hung up.

Called my mobile, I have an app that tells me if it's a spam call if the number is not in my contacts. This came up as "Suspected Spam - debt collector" - Not sure if it was, I didn't answer. Searched a couple of these sites and the number is not listed anywhere - very odd

Caller with an Asian accent said he was from o2 and I had been selected to have a 50% discount on my tariff. I have has these calls before and seemed to be an obvious scam, so I briefly went along… The caller said I would receive an email from o2 but first I would have to pass security and he would send me 2 links with questions. Told him he was a scammer and hung up. Reported call & number to the ICO

01483 912149 is a harassing company called MotorEasy. Despite telling them numerous times on previous calls, no thank you. The caller is harassing, today it was a guy called Freddie who was both combative and hostile. When will these people ever learn?

Oriental lady, very hesitant, claimed to be from Virgin Media about an internet connection. Used a local number to us, but unlikely to be a Virgin Media number. Rang off when told not a Virgin user. If a valid call would have had initial details available

Recorded message claiming to be from Amazon informing me there was activity on my card £700 they had Stopped my card and to press'1' to update. I presume this is a scam call as no more Amazon or bank queries.

Sounded automated, asked them to repeat themselves and they carried on talking. Sounded Indian origin
