Scam number, said I'd been in a car accident and was owed £400k and they simply needed my debit card number, expiry date and the 3 digits on the back so they could "transfer the funds" to my account. When I declined to provide the details they told me I was "being a nerd".

Got a call from this number said they were from Talk Talk........I realised it was a scam so when I said that I didn't actually have a pc or laptop and that it was at work she told me to go to hell !!

I had a phone call from this number today (25/02/2022-17:17) (0161-520-1872 !!!) The person on the line asked for me by name. Which seem very odd to me. As this is a number that I did not know. And told me that he calling to ask if my home had any damaged from the recent bad weather we have had. When I then asked him on how he got my personal number. Yet another scam call from someone with my details. I asked how she'd got the details and she said "from a database". I asked which database and she said "her job was only to offer an extension to my washing machine guarantee". As I have no such thing anyway, it was easy to know it was a scam. Unfortunately these despicable people keep going because there are still those not wise to their tricks :-(
