Received a text which I believe to be a scam text message claiming that I should visit a website to claim my £400 entitlement for the new Government fuel bill discount scheme, yet my fuel providers have already previously stated that I need do nothing as the discount will be applied automatically without me having to claim it.

They called a telephone preference service line. asked how they got the number said 'it just came up on the system' when told shouldn't be on the system said he miss-dialled and hung up

This telephone number belongs to an Accident Advice company. They ring and the line goes silent, so I rang them back to ask them to remove my number from their records.

Pre-recorded voice claiming to be from BT, apparently my phone line will be disconnected due to suspicious activity. I'm not with BT and I have two teens, so of course my landline is full of suspicious activity, nefarious little blighters that they are.

Called at 4:30pm on 07.07.15.

To fix, open task manager , cnt alt delete, then choose task manager, Then find prog, right click, choose end task. This will close the browser but will be ok to open it again and nasty scam has gone !!! Good luck

SPAM - automated call. Posh english recording supposedly from BT saying my internet would be disconnected today. To prevent this press 5 to speak to an agent to discuss. I do not have BT Broadband and i hung up. Obvious scam attempt.

Have received a call from this number today, claiming to be from Talktalk telling me I have a fault with my Talktalk router, told him there was no problem and if there was I would ring Talktalk myself, he put the phone down on me. This is a scam.
