Got another audio text message to my landline Another appointment reminder I thought I gave these people my mobile number as the contact but obviously not Will do when I see them next week I used to get a lot of these audio text messages to my landline at one time from this and a couple of other text to speech to landline translation and relay service numbers but am now only giving my mobile number as the contact when I can remember it As usual with these audio text services always ignore the instruction

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. Received a text saying my parcel has been dropped of at the collection centre. I have not bought any items, and I'm not expecting any parcels from friends or acquaintants.
