Purported to be Virgin Media reviewing your account to provide the best possible service. They fail on DPA/GDPR as don't seem to understand the principles of validating they are speaking to the account holder. They don't have access to account information such as account numbers, billing area codes etc.

SCAM call received from this number today. Asked for me by name, having called on my ex-directory TPS registered landline number. Said he was Jamie from Pension Redress. As I haven’t asked for any contact from anyone, I hung up.
This number called today as a recorded message stating they were banking security and that £330 bill from Amazon and a£1300 money transfer from my bank account which is unusual was taken please press 1 with your banking details. NO ITS A FISHING NUMBER WHEN YOU ARE CALLED

Asian woman said her name was Carol (as if) told me I lived at a house I moved from in 2015. Asked who I had life insurance with and started arguing with me when I told her that's none of her business. She kept repeating aviva, bupa, sunlife is your life insurance with those. This number is no longer J A Winward and Sons - Scientific Glassware. My dad was one of the "sons", (J A Winward was my grandad)... I don't know who is using the phone number now, but the premises is now an art studio called Red Door and they might still have the same phone number?
