Bunch of scammers. They claim to be different debt collection companies, from different numbers. Been going on for years. You pick up, the automated call kicks in, leaving a message for someone who doesn t exist. In my case, they are always asking for someone called Mr Paul Roberts. Returned this call to find out more because it is not listed in any database of who called me numbers. Got a message machine that said mailbox 876, recording and then simply instructions for leaving your recorded message. I see that there have been 135 searches for this number as of 24 Jan 2017, but no results. Very odd.
This number is used to scam people out if money on Whats App. It will pretend to be a family member and ask you to talk on What’s App only and then ask to lend money for Christmas presents because they have been locked out of their banking app. Always ask for information that will verify that you are actually talking to your family member or they will play a clever game and scam you out if your cash. They tried to get £940 off me!! This has been reported to What’s App.
