Caller wanted to speak to Mr P..., a false name I once used with another cold caller. He confirmed my name (Mr P.... ), address and phone number. He wanted to conduct a survey. When I asked him its purpose he ended the phone call.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. I m generally pretty careful giving out my details but for some reason this time wasn t. The company called me I was given a name John Quinn and they seemed to have alot of my details already and were very pleasant. But looking back they were desperate to get my details and evasive of giving an actual amount. They promised me an email the same day and a call at 15.30. Neither of which I got. I spoke to the bank, they weren t very helpful either. Eventually I cancelled my card an froze my account. Not ideal

This number has called me on several occasions and leaves no message. Call back the number and it s a message from LVM on behalf of a client. Telesales. You can call them back on 0800 013 6675 and remove your number from their services. It takes up to 5 days

Messages refering to court debts, for a vehicle that s not mine and under someone else s name. Very untrustworthy.

Indian/Pakistani accent very poor English woman said she was from IT Maintenance telling me my computer is downloading multiple programmes due to a virus and they had been following activity on my computer I didn t trust her one bit and she was pushing for me to open my computer and let her take me through things step by step to clear things up

Told me he was calling about a bump I had in car. Played along but to then be told he could "come around and make me feel better and wake up with jungle fever" Tempting as it may have been, I will pass.

How do BT allow such a number to be allocated for fraudulent purposes. Why does barclaycard not find out who these scammers are and with whatever part of government that can, prosecute the offenders?

Automated message from BT saying there is suspicious activity on our broadband, press 1 to speak to an advisor. I hung up. BT do not contact you like this. Fraud.

This comes up as a Liverpool number .of is a company dealing with PPI. Very polite young man who was straight to the point regarding what the call was for. After asking a few questions, the usual ones about whether I d had any loans, credit cards, catalogues etc, he said he would get the system updated so that they didn t call again. Just about the most polite call I ve ever had regarding PPI!!

This number is Santander. They contacted me when I tried to make a large transaction via Western Union and needed to confirm it was me. I was successfully able to make the transaction after the call. Very helpful.

Asked for me by name, asking me if I was involved in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I hung up at this point.
