Thank you Google , I almost got SCAMMED FROM 289-624-4285-- 647-354-2063, .I was about to call this person for a list of software programs that I wanted for my home and new business office and I noticed that this seller was in Toronto, Yes !, So I was happy about what he had to sell because I wanted these programs,and my 14 year daughter, said she had a bad feeling about this software guy. SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.

Rings a couple of times. When you call back you get a message saying this call has been verified. Doesnt say who its from or give any other information.

Please watch out! Its an ugly old blondie which is trying to get Your money. Dont trust her never.

This was a call about life insurance, and could save £1000 of the policy. They couldn't tell me who my policy was with, or the policy number and had the incorrect post code, so I played along with them, requesting that they give me those details first. They then changed their story and said it was a survey and asked again who my policy was with, and so it went on and on and they gave up. Number blocked from future calls, but that won't work as they have dozens of numbers. Always a woman of foreign descent.

Two calls from this number with a recorded voice message claiming £700 has been drawn on our account to Amazon and further £2000 cash transfer, then a couple of number options to press to speak to someone. Needless to say, I hung up. Yet another time-wasting and potentially dangerous scam.

I do not have bt broadband - BT can not technically supply it on this old rural line. I get b/band via radio link frmo an idependent provider which has nothing to do with BT. Guy said he was from BT technical department! WHat rubbish. He even sent me a pin to agree computer access. I advised him he as a nasty little scammer adn then hung up.

Indianbased scammers harassing about cheap phone deals block

SCAM - computerized voice telling me my bank card used at Amazon and asking me to press "1".

This number rang my mobile at 9.52am (21/4/23) - but on answering it came up as not allowed and shows as a missed call, so that raised a red flag. Initial research came up as a Sarah Oakley on LinkedIn advertising vacancies in the UK . However, this next search as come up as from being in Russia, making me even more suspicious of who or why they are calling as I have no connection to Russia or Sarah.

SCAM I got an automated female voice stating it was bank security. £300 was to pay Amazon and £1100 was by bank transfer. I got the exact same phonecall yesterday from another number. I was to press 1 to speak to someone if I hadn't made these transactions. I have been told by my bank that if anything like this was to happen the bank would notify me with the bank's name and a the name of whoever I was talking to as soon as I answered the phone. They would never phone with an automated message.

Automated call claiming to be Barclaycard saying there were 2 possible fraudulent transactions on my account, checked with Barclaycard and of course it's a scam.

Got a call from this number saying they were from my bank and someone tried to get £500 out of my account . Phoned my bank and this wasn’t true The phone number he phoned me on showed it was my bank calling but found out he had scammed their number .
