Called us trying to get us to “renew” a care plan, and only wanted our bank account details so they could send us renewal details. Claimed that “under GDPR, they could not retain those details”. Said that as soon as they got those details they would call back and verify then send details. Kept trying to “explain”. When told it sounded like a scam, they transferred me to another person. Fraud The claimed to be from my home appliance cover. They tried to get my bank details (even though we are on direct debit so the real provider would already have it). When challenged they called back several times getting more condescending each time. We then phoned our actual cover provider and they confirmed it was a scam call. DANGEROUS.

They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.

Knew my name and said they were from “my local bank” and wouldn’t say which bank. “Security questions” needed answering to reveal which bank. Load of scamming, conning nonsense and when questioned they threw a paddy. Horrible, horrible people.

Clearly fraudsters trying to get money on basis of '' your bank / credit card has been used for a non authorised payment of £1100'' and encouragement to press option 1 to resolve the issue.

SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COSTS Absolutely a scam. Caller knew my name. Said scammers in Bulgaria have been using my name to trade & there's £88k sitting in an account he wants to transfer to me. All I had to do was download anydesk.com. No thanks. This is how scammers connect to your computer, take control of it and steal your money. When I hung up he called me back from a slightly different number offended that I had hung up. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THESE PEOPLE.
